These new termly forums will replace the subject lead sessions held in 2019-20 and give Early Years leads an opportunity to come together, discuss practices and receive updates as well as opportunities for training where required.


Designed and led by Jackie Griffiths, Associate School Leader, these are opportunities to:

• Access EYs training

• Connect with DfE updates

• Support data work, including using O Track

• Share ideas


Agendas will be fluid to accommodate needs and updates and will be released nearer to the time

Based on the latest research in effective practice and delivered by current and expert practitioners, this Early Career teacher offer provides NQTs with clear strategies to develop strong practice, sustain good well-being and enjoy a long career in teaching.


In brief:


• A blended learning programme, anchored in the entitlement of the Early Career Framework and tailored to NQT’s needs.


• An evidence based curriculum to prepare NQTs for success in the classroom, blending theory with deliberate practice.


• Tailored mentor development, closely aligned to the programme.


• Guided observations of best practice teaching to help NQTs unpick live models of best practice and support learning opportunities


• Access to a library of complementary tools and resources for NQTs and mentors.


• Full access to Powerful Action Steps (PAS) online mentoring tool for NQTs and mentors
