With the Trust’s IT Strategy in its infancy, IT training is currently being developed with our Microsoft partners and further information will be shared via the half-termly CPD update. As the Trust is partway through the onboarding programme, training will continue to be offered at individual school level as part of the onboarding programme and the Central IT team will continue to offer support and guidance to schools.
One of the key areas that schools have identified as needing support with is the management of Senso. Senso is a cloud-based solution that not only supports network management but also supports with the school’s obligations in relation to online safeguarding by capturing and reporting online violations.
The IT Team have arranged six one-hour ‘Senso Awareness’ sessions over the academic year to enable new starters and those who have moved over to Senso as part of the on-boarding programme with the support, advice and guidance needed to navigate the system.Essential information
As mentioned at the last Heads/SBMs Zoom meeting, the Trust will be providing one funded place per school for the online Mental Health First Aid training course delivered by Mental Health First Aid England.

This is a one day course and will be available on the following dates 5th May 2021, 24th May 2021, 25th May 2021 and 26th May 2021. Please book the 1 day that you wish to attend by booking on the correct date on reach teach. Courses do have a maximum capacity of 16 with only 1 funded place allowed per school, therefore you are encouraged to book as soon as possible in order to secure your place and to allow materials to be sent out to you in good time.
The timings for all dates will be 9am-4.45pm with lunchtime at 12.30pm and at least one morning and afternoon break. Course materials will be sent out through the post to delegates school address and the session link will be sent to delegates individually. Attendees will need use of a laptop each with working camera and audio function. Google Chrome, Firefox or Edge are the supported browsers for the live platform.

This one-day course, delivered by the Safeguarding and HR teams, covers all aspects of safer recruitment, providing practical opportunities to consider how the principles of safer recruitment can be put into practice in the school setting.
Target Audience: Following DfE statutory requirements, this training is mandatory for all staff members who will be part of the recruitment process who have not yet completed safer recruitment training.
